Fish and Shellfish

I love seafood and it can really be pretty easy to make…and making it in the microwave can make it even easier…

Fish Fillets

  • 12 ounces = 4 to 5 minutes in the microwave
  • 1 1/2 pounds = 7 to 9 minutes in the microwave

Fish Steaks that are 1 inch thick

  • 12 ounces = 4 to 5 minutes in the microwave
  • 1 1/2 pounds = 7 to 9 minutes in the microwave

Scallops

  • 1 pound = 6 to 9 minutes in the microwave, stirring after 4 minutes

Shrimp (peeled and deveined)

  • 1 pound = 6 to 8 minutes in the microwave, stirring after 3 minutes

Shrimp in the shell

  • 1 pound = 5 to 7 minutes in the mocrowave, stirring after 3 minutes

For each of these fish and/or shellfish, you will want to let stand for 3 minutes after cooking.
