Apples

Who doesn’t like apples.  They are great just biting into them and they can add such flavor to recipes, salads, pies, sauces, etc.

But which apple is good for what?  Can you make a pie using Gala apples?  Is Romas good for salads?  Here is a chart to help you know what you can do with whatever apple you have on hand…If you want apples that you can use in baking, eating and salads, pies and sauces, then try these apples:

For a sweet but tart flavor:

  • Braeburn (crispy)

For a sweeter flavor:
